My Approach
Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psycotherapy
Chronic misattunement touches our deepest sense of safety. Thankfully, how we were wounded is the same way we can heal –– together. Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is a body-focused approach to creating new, safe, relational experiences rooted in attachment theory and interpersonal neurobiology. This practice of “undoing aloneness” activates your natural neuroplasticity and allows you to process and heal from emotional wounds. AEDP is one of the most powerful, transformative, and life-affirming therapies that I practice.

Attachment-Focused EMDR
Attachment-Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a specialized therapeutic approach that integrates the principles of EMDR with a deep understanding of attachment theory. Developed at the Parnell Institute, this method is designed to address the emotional and relational impacts of trauma, helping individuals heal from adverse experiences while fostering healthier connections with themselves and others.

Parts Work
Internal Family Systems (IFS) operates from the belief that everyone has multiple personalities (parts) that adapt through trauma and attachment injuries. Based on the work of Richard Schwartz, IFS believes you have no bad parts –– only good parts that have been forced into extreme and dysfunctional roles out of necessity for survival. The goal of IFS is to unburden these destructive parts (not get rid of them) and transform these parts back into their natural, precious state. When you believe a part of you is a burden (for instance, your inner critic) you will fight against it, ignore it, and demonize it. Instead, IFS teaches you how to become curious, self-compassionate, and accepting –– laying the groundwork for healing and transformation. The work of IFS focuses on healing internal and external relationships through shifting internal systems and extreme beliefs.

Emotional Focused Therapy
Developing coping strategies for anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress is an act of survival but living in that survival state is completely exhausting. Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) helps change core emotional organizing factors within the individual so healing and thriving can occur. While EFT is best known as the most successful and clinically proven couples therapy intervention, it is just as transformative for individuals. Repairing bonds with abandoned parts of self and external relationships is what EFT is all about.
