Heal emotional wounds through experiential, relational safety.

Somatic. Experiential. Attachment Based.

My Approach

  • AEDP

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy is a body-focused approach to creating new, safe, relational experiences. This practice of “undoing aloneness” activates your natural neuroplasticity and allows you to process and heal from emotional wounds.

  • Attachment Focused-EMDR

Attachment-Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a specialized therapeutic approach that integrates the principles of EMDR with a deep understanding of attachment theory. Developed at the Parnell Institute, this method is designed to address the emotional and relational impacts of trauma, helping individuals heal from adverse experiences while fostering healthier connections with themselves and others.

  • Parts Work

Internal Family Systems (IFS) operates from the belief that everyone has multiple personalities (parts) that adapt through trauma and attachment injuries. Based on the work of Richard Schwartz, IFS believes you have no bad parts –– only good parts that have been forced into extreme and dysfunctional roles out of necessity for survival.

About Me

I’m a licensed professional counselor based in Charlottesville, Virginia.

My style of therapy is experiential, emotion focused, collaborative, somatic, authentic, and focused on healing wounds so that there is no longer trauma living inside of us. I work with adults to co-create relational safety so they can have new experiences and heal (not just cope with) current challenges and past traumas.

I specialize in experiential attachment therapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), emotional focused therapy (EFT), and working with folks with complex PTSD. I have a background in crisis work and a growing practice in using the natural world to support healing through nature-based therapy.
